With it the ink signature of the later Vice Admiral (here still Corvette Captain) HELLMUTH HEYE.

 

On April 20, 1944, Heye was appointed Generalreferent Sonderkampfmittel in the OKM and Commanding Admiral of the Kriegsmarine's small combat units, which included the small submarines and manned torpedoes as well as the naval task forces, blasting boats, and combat swimmers.

 

He was a recipient of the following decorations:

 

- Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on January 18, 1941.

 

- Officer's Cross of the Order of the Crown of Romania on January 15, 1943

 

- as well as many other awards
