Issued on 2.4.1944. On June 1, 1941, he took over the Schützen Regiment 155 of the 90th Light African Division in the German Africa Corps. For special bravery in the battle for Tobruk, he received the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. On 9 April 1945 wounded in the fight against Yugoslav partisans at Senj by a head shot, he died the next day. Personal signature on an award proposal. Good condition.
